Obstacle Avoiding Robot using ATmega16

This is an autonomous bot with Atmega16 as the brain. IR sensors are used to detect obstacles within the range of 5 cm. The robot is powered by two batteries. One 9V 6F22 battery for the controller and 6V 4.5 AH Lead-Acid battery for the motors. Motors used are 100 RPM gear motors for high torque. Movement of the bot is optimized in the program. Motors are driven using L293D motor driver from Texas Instruments. The program is written in Embedded C and compiled using WinAVR compiler. The program is simple and self explanatory.
